Commentator? Revealing.

Commentating has never really been a thought for me when it comes to youtube videos, but i'll tell you where I got the idea. I happened upon some "reaction" videos, where people supposedly listened to a song they have never heard before, and gave their reactions along the way and afterward.

This revealed very little about them as a person, but people seemed to love it. So here I am thinking to myself, that I have some youtuber favorites in my subscriptions, and the one thing I would want is to hear the "behind the scenes" stories of their adventures. What were they feeling about a certain part of the trip, or what was the difficulties, or embarrassing moments we didn't get to see. It would kind of be like a "deleted scenes" type of idea.

My point here is that I am in the process of uploading a video of our first EVER kayak camping trip, which had large highs, and extremem lows, and I am explaining those along the video. It's hard to tell how well or not this video will be received, but I wanted to put it out regardless. If I don't try, I won't know. What I do know, is that I had a blast making it, and if you watch it you can clearly see my smiling authentically.

I really enjoy my videos that I make and I even enjoy watching them again and again over the months. Some I am slightly embarrassed of, but those were the firsts ones I made, and I knew I just needed to get started to get better. I'd like to think that I have become better over time. I am testing this idea on my channel, but I believe it will take a handful of videos I am commentating on, before I will know how they are received. The beautiful part, is that I will also be commentating on others videos.

I will NOT be playing others videos in full on my video. I believe that is wrong, and disrespectful, but I will play small chunks of their videos and my reactions to them. Some of them are down right awesome! Of course, I will give full disclosure and links to their channel and video for the full viewing.
